10th Avenue, Montreal, QC
This home in Montreal’s Rosemont neighbourhood updated its kitchen and family room. In order to create an open-plan layout, the load-bearing wall separating the two spaces was removed.
Both areas were transformed from the bottom-up. The floor cladding was redone, adding
lustre to the space. A sombre colour palette was selected for the kitchen, as witnessed by
the dark cabinet wood and the colour of the backsplash tiles.
The kitchen’s darker materials create a beautifully refined atmosphere, while its open
connection into the family room prevents the space from feeling cramped.
